Donna Sharp
President/CEO

For more than 25 years, Donna Sharp has worked in the areas of trade and logistics. Prior to joining Sharp Global, Donna served as Executive Director of the World Trade Institute, a primary training resource for the international trade community. She also served in senior operations and marketing positions for Union Pacific Railroad's Overnite Transportation. In 2009 Donna became the CEO of Inspectorate Sharp Global Corp. 

Donna is an adjunct professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City and has trained professionals on a wide range of topics including Global Logistics, Cargo Security, Transportation Economics, China Logistics, North American Integration, Trade Policy, Import/Export Management, Corporate Social Responsibility and United States Customs Practices.

She serves on the World Bank's Trade Facilitation Committee and the Board of Directors of the Organization of Women in International Trade. She is appointed by the Secretary of Commerce of the United States to the New York District Export Council where she currently serves as the Legislative Chairperson. She is a member of the American Association of Exporters and Importers, The Traffic Club of New York and the Warehouse Education Research Council.

In 2001, Donna Sharp received the International Service Award from the Manhattan International Development Corporation for her efforts in spearheading the organization of World Trade Week in New York City. In June 2003 she was placed in the World Trade Center Association's Book of Honor. Donna is a former State Committeewoman in the State of New York.

Donna holds an undergraduate degree in International Studies from Fordham University and a Masters Degree in Public Administration, Advanced Management and Finance, from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.

Vice President

John has 25 years of experience in law enforcement, crime prevention, domestic and international security and counter-terrorism. He has traveled worldwide as a security consultant and is a highly regarded supply chain security expert and university-level educator.  In 2009 John became the Vice President of Global Operations of Inspectorate Sharp Global Corp.

Prior to working in the private sector, John started his career in the New York City Police Department and was later appointed by Mayor Rudolph Giuliani to serve as Executive Director of Citizenship NYC, a citywide agency providing comprehensive legal services to immigrant communities seeking U.S. citizenship.

At the NYPD, John held various ranks and assignments where he conducted confidential physical security surveys, vulnerability assessments and crisis planning. Within the Organized Crime Bureau he investigated cases targeting South American drug cartels, Auto/Cargo theft rings and human trafficking in cooperation with federal taskforces including the DEA, FBI, ATF, INS, Customs and Interpol.

As the New Immigrant/Special Outreach Liaison for the NYPD he designed and implemented crime prevention strategies for a host of audiences including the Caribbean, South Asian, Chinese, former Soviet, Islamic, Hasidic/Jewish and Latino communities in an effort to further reduce crime citywide. He worked closely with the United States Military, United Nations Diplomatic Corps and visiting foreign delegations.

John has developed and delivered training to senior management and law enforcement personnel on crime prevention, performance based metrics, crisis management response, ethnic relations and cultural sensitivity. He is trained in executive and diplomatic protection, counter-terrorism and antiterrorism, internal investigations, electronic surveillance, and wiretapping. He has received numerous community service awards and Police Citations for Heroism.

John is active in ASIS International, where he serves on the Transportation Security Council and has earned the designation of Board Certified Protection Professional (CPP). He is a member of the International Cargo Security Council and the U.S. State Department's (OSAC) Overseas Security Advisory Council. Other affiliations include the Foreign Policy Association, American Academy of Professional Law Enforcement, Society of Professional Investigators, NYPD Honor Legion, New York Chinatown Law Enforcement Association and the American Association for Public Administration.

John earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York where he was the recipient of the Mayor's Graduate Scholarship. He is an Adjunct Professor at Pace University's Criminal Justice Department, and taught Supply Chain Security at the World Trade Institute.
